How It All Started – The Fullness Of God School

God’s name be praised for the vision to nurture babies, and children in general in the way of the Lord which emanated from the upbringing of my brothers and sisters: and my interaction with Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunbeam Children in 1968.

As an NCE (1972) and B.A Ed. (1978) holder, teaching has been the profession I was in to. The urge to start a Day Care, Nursery, and Primary School came in 1983, but due to some circumstances beyond my control, I shelved the idea.

However, I went into Evening Coaching for Secondary School Students between January 1992 and August 1994. The vision that I should start a Day Care, Nursery and Primary School came repeatedly. A dream in which a baby which was almost dead was placed in my hands gave me the final go-ahead. In the dream, God instructed me to give the baby some palm-oil to drink and that he would live. This dream came when I was contemplating on whether to start the school or not. In the dream, I acted as directed by God and the said baby survived dramatically.

This vision gave birth to Ejigun Classic Day Care, Nursery and Primary School on the 12th of September, 1994. Mrs. O. A. Oguntuyi, an N.C.E. (1992) Teacher was employed for Nursery One. Mrs. Tommy Tamfred, SSCE (1992) took care of the Day Care section while Mr. Olubodun Adetoye was the clerk. Alas! The first pupil Jumoke Evlyn Ojehomon arrived, while the first baby was Eniola Olaleye, for the first academic year, we had twelve pupils and three babies.
To avoid divided interest as the Vice Principal, Administration of Ijapo High School, I went on voluntary retirement on the 31thst of October 1996 so as to man the school myself.
An adage says, “behind a successful man, there is a woman” and vice versa. It is no gainsaying that my husband Olarinde Olajide Ogundare has been the backbone of running the school successfully. No
wonder, he is the Proprietor while I am the Headmistress of the school. We return all honor and glory to the Almighty God. However, the name Ejigun classic Day Care. Nursery and Primary School was not liked by many of our parents despite the fact that we gave them its meaning. Fullness of God Both Dr Ayeleso and Pastor Tony Momodu advocated that the parents prefer Fullness of God Day Care, Nursery and Primary School, Akure. The school was therefore renamed FULLNESS OF GOD DAY CARE, NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL, IJAPO ESTATE, AKURE in 2001, to God be the glory, the FULLNESS OF GOD has remained with us, the pupils their parents, the staff, and all our well-wishers. It is, however, disheartening that many of our parents send their children to secondary school from primaries four and five despite the Federal Government Policy of 6334 Educational System in Nigeria.
